Day Services

For many people with dementia, day services are an ideal source of support, friendship and stimulation, as well as providing a few hours of respite for the carer.

"The staff on the bus are really good...[using the Centre] gives me a rest knowing that my husband is in safe hands."

Our Day Centres

We currently have two day centres, one in Newcastle upon Tyne and a smaller one in Hexham, both of which offer specialist care in a cheerful and sociable environment.

The centres offer a full range of activities, including exercise classes and dancing, singing and musical activities, shared reminiscing and nostalgia sessions, arts and crafts and cookery, along with the opportunity to enjoy outings and other social occasions. We encourage people to retain existing skills and to develop new interests. People can choose what they want to be involved in and we will help them to get the most of their time at the centres.
